In the will of my 6th GGF he lists no wife. He does give " to my Negrowoman,
BETTE", almost all his household goods, much as a man of that time would leave
his wife.

Later in the will he does bequeath 5 of his male slaves. No desposition on
BETTE is given in the will.

Is there anyone who can tell me if the wording of his will pretaining to BETTE
indicates that she was free??

Additionally, does the fact that he left all the household goods to BETTE
indicate that she might be a consort of my 6th GGF???
