In the mane of God Amen, this nineth day of October in the
year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and Seven.  I
Elizabeth Edwards of Salem, being sick but of perfect mind
and memory; and knowing my own mortality - od make and
ordain tis my last Will and Testament.  That is to say I
recommend sould ot God and my body to be decently buried, my
worldly estate to be disposed of in the following manner. -
That is to say, I do by these presents forever Sett free and
clear from Bondage of Slavery my three very honest and
faithful Negroes named Isaaa, Charlotte and Ross and giving
them the privilege of living on and planting as much of the
land I dwell on and allowing them Rail Timber and fire wood
as my Executors herein afternamed will judge sufficient to
them and hereby request my Executors to give up unot them
their own property and befriend them so far as not to let
them be imposed on.  The rest of my Negroes to be demeed
slaves and be disposed of  with all my property as hereafter
directed.

Item I give and bequeath to my nephew Jacob W. Wheeler on
Negro man named Peter as a leagacy oeve and above his share
of my Estate and should he die leaving no issue, all his
property gottne by me shall return to my Estates.

Item I bequeath to the issue of my sister Anna McBride, that
is to say Wm.N. Dickey, Benoni McFadding and the children of
Anna Melone their part of Anna McBride's share of my
Property equally divided among them, that is to say in three
parts, Dickey, McFaddin and Melone.

Item I will and bequeath to my sister Mary Storey and her
issue her proportionate part of my estate.  And one hundred
dollars by way of legacy to her grandson David Addison
Reese.

Item I give and bequeath to my sistes Esther Tomlinson and
her issue her proportionate part of my Estate.  Item I gve
and bequeath to my sister Sarah Mill issue of her body that
isto say the childrenof jane Stuart, Elam J. Mill, and Jacob
W. Mill their proportionate part of my sister's share of my
property.

Item I give and bequeath to my sister Martha Singletary and
theissue of her body their proportionate part of my Estate,
and I do hereby consitute and appoint Col. Thos. McFaddin,
Charles Story and Wm. Mill my whole and sole Executors of
this my last will and testament and do hereby disallow and
disannual all and every other will and wills, legacies, and
bequeaths by me in any ways before time named will or
bequeathed.  ratigying and confirming this and no other to
be my last will and testament.  Signed, Sealed, Published
and pronounced and declared by the said Elizabeth Edwards as
her last will and Testament the day and year first above
