Subject: WILKINSON-BALL From: Margaret B Miller Date: July 05, 1998 On 8 Apr 1721 RICHARD BALL sold the 500 acres he had been granted on 15 Sept 1705 to THOMAS WILKINSON. [The property was located near Straud's Creek in St. John's Parish, Berkeley Co., SC. Later, these same 500 acres passed to GEORGE BALL as heir-at-law of RICHARD BALL. What was RICHARD BALL's relationship with THOMAS WILKINSON? Was WILKINSON the caretaker of the property until George became of age? In 1784 the property formerly belonging to RICHARD BALL was adjacent property owned by ROBERT MCKELVIE, JAMES LEBAS, MICHAEL CLENCH, and PETER WHITTEN. SAMPSON BALL, uncle of GEORGE BALL, and PAUL DE ST. JULIEN were witnesses to the sale by Richard to WILKINSON. Your help will be very much appreciated.
