There is a William West in Greenville district in 1820 and 1830 who is the
only William West in SC who matches age and children with my ancestor who
migrated from SC to Carroll County, GA, in 1833.  Census records show he was
born ca 1788 in NC, but his wife, Winnefred (Winnie) was born ca 1792 in SC.
So, my question is: Has anyone come across estate records, early 1800s,
mentioning a Winnefred or Winnie West? Or, William West receiving payment?
the couple's second daughter was named Edna Hampton West, so Hampton may be a
clue.  If anyone wants to know more about this couple in Carroll County, GA,
I'll be glad to share.
