Welch neck is in Darlington County, part of it in Florence and the
area north of Darlington.

Try  to locate Greggs, History of the old Cheraws.  In Colonial times,
1700's Old Cheraws covered the area that borders on North Carolina and
mentions the Wildes family. An Abner and a Samuel were part of the St.
David's Vestry in 1768.
