Once again.........
----- Original Message -----

I am looking for info on Daniel C. Walker from SC. I have no idea of the county. He came to Lebanon, Wilson County, Tennessee as a young man and married Elisabeth Keaton there. They were there only a short while and moved to Waynesboro, Wayne County, Tennessee where they spent the rest of their years. After Elisabeth's death he married Annie Parsley and had another family. Altogether he has about 21 children. He is very well documented in the Tennessee counties. I am including all the information I have in the computer at this time on his immediate family. I have more in my notes on court records and the like.

I also suspect that he may have a sister named Margaret who married Zachariah Keaton. I have documents that show a relation but not the exact relation. In other words I can put the two families together.

Another suspected sibling would be James C. Walker. I have them in near proximity to each other in Wayne County.

Anyone with a clue as to Daniel parents would be a God send to me and many others researching this family. I am hoping maybe someone has him in a family bible, church records, or census that shows the children also...just anything would be such a major piece of news for us.

Thanks,
Donna

1. DANIEL C.1 WALKER was born Abt. 1805 in South Carolina. He married (1) ELISABETH KEATON. She was born Abt. 1806. He married (2) ANNIE PARSLEY January 25, 1861 in Wayne County, Tennessee.

Notes for DANIEL C. WALKER:

The 1850 Census of Wayne County Tennessee shows Daniel and wife Elisabeth and their 8 children and their ages at the time of the census.

His farm was in the Shake Rag Creek area of Waynesboro probably across the road from the old Sims Motel somewhere. He is said to be buried there among 5 women. Two of which we guess are his two wives. It is believed his grave will be marked with an old field stone and has to date never been found.

His farm was said to be in a hollow by Shake Rag Hill "spitting" distance from the old Sims Motel on Hwy. 64 w. out of Waynesboro.

I suspect that the four older children would have to belong to Elizabeth. Will have to search all this more and update again.

When Daniel C. Walker married Anna Parsley he was 56 years old and she was 29.
