I posted about my family yesterday.  My grandfather, Joseph Marcus was born
in 1881.  His mother, Hannah Rich Marcus,came over to Charleston as a young
girl, before the Civil War. His father, Mitchell Marcus came from E Prussia
in about 1870. My maternal great-grandmother, Lillian Wilensky Marcus came
over around 1887.  Her first child,my grandmother was born in Orangeburg in
1894.  My great grandfather, Hirsch Marcus came from Rumania in the 1880's
The most important thing is locating a marriage license of my great
grandmother and great grandfather who married in Orangeburg in 1893.That is
Lillian and Hirsch. Is this possible?  It has been suggested that I try the
Mormon records.
