I have great admiration for the DAR and its members.  I have several
lines which I hope to submit one of these days for admission.
However, sometimes, we seek information not just to join an organization
but just to have the knowledge of our own roots, whether it might lead
to membership in a prestigious organization or not.  Accuracy is
important in either case.  However, sometimes leads can come in lots of
different ways.  In which case, they can be checked out to see if they
can be proven accurate.  Many of us would be lost if it were not for the
help of other people and resources. It is not that we don't want to do
the work. Many of us have spent many years to no avail.  The lack of
infomation available sometimes creates a real problem.. I have had lines
that have fallen into place so easily with little effort and other lines
on which I have worked for a lengthy period of time, learning little.
