     On July 23, 2000, Elsa McDowell's column in the Charleston Post and 
Courier was about a Town of Miley Reunion to be held October 7, 2000. It 
might be possible to view the article on the Charleston's Post and Courier's 
web site at:

     The reunion is being sponsored by Turner and Loretta Tuten. I have 
e-mailed Ms. McDowell for information on how to find out more about the 
reunion and am awaiting her reply.
     In the meantime, perhaps some of you have also read the article and may 
know more about this reunion, such as a location.
     Miley is on Hwy. 13, or Old Salkehatchie Road, northeast of Hampton, SC. 
Miley was once home to the MILEY family. The article also lists TUTEN, 
LIGHTSEY, MEW, FREEMAN, COOK, RITTER, ROBERTS, SMITH, DuBOISE, and PRICE.
     My connection to the MILEY family is a marriage into my DAVIS line. 
Pattie Miley (1875-1958) married Charles Frank Davis, Jr. (b. 1877).
     Looking forward to hearing from you on information about the Town of 
Miley Reunion. If I should get a reply from Ms. McDowell, I will post it to
