i am looking for info on a dudley thurston. his wife"s name was mary
lucy. they escaped through the underground railroad from south carolina
to vermillion county , illinois. dudley supposedly killed his overseer
or master with an ax. his wife was a slave on one of the ball
plantations. i have read "slaves in the family", but i couldn"t find
her.  any help would be greatly appr. josephine
