     I'm looking for information on the family of Pleasant Doolittle THURMOND 1829-1887 of Edgefield County, SC, who m. 1857 to Mary Ison VANCE b. 1842 in KY (possibly Louisville) d. 1921, she was dau of William VANCE b. Kentucky.
    I'm looking for information on the William VANCE family in KY, also.   I have an old family photo of a young woman (taken ca  mid 1800s) and written on the back is,  "Pearl VANCE, Louisville, Ky, Fore aunt Mary Thurmond in Bath. Lola."
     Any help is greatly appreciated.
