THOMAS - my ggg grandfather John W Thomas b 1792 nc d 1861 Charlotte and
wife Elizebeth (correct spelling on tombstone) b 1812 nc d 1893 Charlottte .
Elizebeth's  maiden name may have been Anderson. ??

Unable to locate parents of John W. Thomas or Elizebeth. 

Their children were George W., b 1836 in NC d 1913 m Harriett M. Cox,  John M.
b 1845  SC  d 1927 m (1)  Mary L. (?), (2nd) m. Olivia Hoyle 1902 in
Charlotte, NC,  Moses b. 1846  in Tenn, d 1909 m Susan Clara Baker, Perry
Anderson  b 1853 in Tenn d 1920 m (1) Sarah Reid , (2) Mary N. Frazier,  my
direct line Susannah b May 1841 in SC d 1901 in Charlotte, m ca 1863 James M.
Strange b 1838 d 1888, who occupation was tinner.  James and Susannah lived in
the Fourth Ward area of Charlotte, NC.

John W Thomas and family lived  NC, moved to SC ca 1840 and over to Tenn and
are shown on 1860 Mecklenburg Co., NC census. Family members still live in
Charlotte / Mecklenburg co area to this date.

Perrry Anderson Thomas built Thomasboro area owned a cannery and was
founder of Thomasboro Presbyterian Church which was purchased 3 - 4 years ago
and is now Chappell Memorial Church.  Thomasboro is on the west of Charlotte,
headed towards the Catawba River.

Moses Thomas was supervisor of city cemetery of Charlotte for 17 years. 

Susannah occupation on 1860 census is streamress, and on 1900 census her
daughter Annie Laura Strange occupation is streamress.

William d 2 Sep 1852 and Sarah d 27 Nov 1869 - POSSIBLY the parents of my John
W. Thomas or wife Elizebeth???

All of the above are buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Downtown Charlotte, NC

Other children of John W. and Elizebeth are Jackson b 1844 in SC d unk,
Francis b 1842 in Sc,  d unk,  Sarah b 1852 in Tn, d unk.

There were FOUR  John W. Thomas in N.C. lineage.  (Many of Stephen Thomas Sr.
(b Md d NC) children and grandchildren names corresponded with my known Thomas
lineage.
