I just wanted to thank all that were able to respond with there research
on "Southern Temples Lines". I made copies for Joyce Barnet Temple and
our meeting with her tomorrow. This is our last meeting with her before
she goes to Mississippi. Many of us researching these lines have
discovered that much of the confusion comes from the many generations
with multiple names such as, James, John, Jacob, and Frederick within a
time line of 80 years! Many of these people were poor farmers and
migrated with the wind. Still, they are our people and we want to know
them! A genealogist once told me "How many of us look at a tombstone
with its dates cut deeply into the surface and see only the dates? Few
of us concentrate on what is important. The line in between."
Their lives are the richness in us and the heritage left to us. This is
a gift, not unlike what all of you shared with us recnetly. My hope is
after tomorrow, we too have something to share with all concern.

Respectfully,

Robert Temples
