I have been trying to research my gggg grandfather for years and I'm against
a brick wall. He was known by ECHO THACKER and had two known sons, James R
and William. ECHO was in Virginia at one time (Hanover County) and I think
ECHO may have been a nickname. Just wondering if any of you can tie his
son's to a name. I have records of him selling property in Hanover County
and he later went to Hall County GA where he died. If any of you have two
brothers James R and William in your files, maybe you can tell me the real
name of ECHO. Echo was born about 1760 in VA and died 1846 in Hall County
GA. Any help will be appreciated.
