SUMPTER, DUBOIS, GAILLARD, MILES; NEILSON, NELSON, MASON, RUGELEY - ELIZABETH RUSSO
Subject: SUMPTER, DUBOIS, GAILLARD, MILES; NEILSON, NELSON, MASON, RUGELEY
From: ELIZABETH RUSSO
Date: January 31, 2000

This transaction was recorded right after the previous one posted. In
the first one, SAMUEL DUBOIS was said to have been of St. Stephens
Parish; here he is from St. Johns Parish. I'm not clear why he would
state himself to be of one, then the next parish in back-to-back
transactions like this, especially since the first purchase he was said
to already be of St. Stephens where both transactions take place. So it
is not like he had just moved to St. Stephens in the second
transaction...

SAMUEL DUBOIS also appears in records in St. Matthew's Parish, where he
died and left a will.

Do others find their ancestors in several parishes within the same
year? I've found this happening with several of my ancestors.
