Still Looking For JJ - Bob. Ross

All,

I would like to correspond with any member (or anyone who KNOWS a member)
of the Harmony Baptist Church in Elgin (formerly Blaney), Kershaw County,
SC. There are two things that I am most anxious to discuss with a member of
the Harmony Church:

# 1. My GGG Gf, John J. Ross (JJ), was the minister at Harmony for many
years starting in the mid 1800s. JJ died (we think) on 1/1/1870. We are
trying to determine the location of his grave and are having extreme
difficulty getting two-way communications established with anybody at the
Harmony Church. (JJ is NOT listed in the Kershaw County Cemetery Survey
books, by the way. He is also NOT listed in the 1870 SC census.)

#2. According to Furman University, and as described in a WPA Records
Survey dated 1/30/1938, a Mr. Robert Branham of Blaney (now Elgin) wrote "A
Brief Sketch of Harmony Church," and as of 1/30/1938 the document was still
in the possession of the author in Blaney.
It is likely that Mr. Robert Branham has passed away by now. However,
anyone knowing the whereabouts of any of Mr. Robert Branham's descendants
are requested to please get in touch with me.

Any help would be appreciated.
