My wife found a fragment of a Civil War record on her gg-grandfather Steven
Jones a number of years ago.  She has found nothing since.  Hope someone has a
link that might get her going again.

Steven Jones was born ca 1835 in SC; mother's name was Nancy (maiden unkn);
married Sophia A. Shirley who was born Aug 25, 1837 in Anderson, SC, died May
9, 1928 in Greenville, SC.

Steven was in General Hospital #9 in Richmond, VA on June 14, 1864; was a
Private in Company L of Orr's South Carolina Rifles on July 6, 1864; was
transferred to Huguenot Springs, Powhatan, VA on July 8, 1864.  We have no
further info on him.

Steven was not listed in the 1870 census and his wife was listed as "widow".
