Subject: Re: Steve's maps from Mills' atlas From: Steven J. Coker Date: November 25, 1998 Options to try: 1. Look for and install a Netscape Plug-In which handles graphic images in the way you want. To find plug-ins, click on the HELP option on the menu, then select "About Plug-ins" from the list, a page will open and at the top you will see "For more information on Netscape plug-ins, click here." That will take you to the Netscape Plug-ins site. 2. Save the image as a local file. Then load it into a drawing program like PhotoShop, Photo Editor, or Paint Shop Pro. You should be able to scale and print the image in the drawing program. 3. Depending on which printer and printer driver you use, there may be a setup option like "shrink to fit" or "scale to _ pages" or some such. In that case, you could select that print setup option. 4. I have varying sizes of the maps posted on the web site. The smaller sizes should all print on one page. But on the smaller sizes the text isn't readable. 5. Use a printer that accepts larger paper. If the printer paper size is equal to or larger than the image, then it should print. 6. Try to "fool" the program by configuring the printer setup for a larger paper size. It might send the image as if it was printing on the larger size paper. But, only the portion that fits on the paper actually being used will be printed. Or, the printer memory may overload and you will have to reboot. 7. Try printing in landscape mode. Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving!
