Hello
The name in the subject line is a collateral ancestor the brother of
my fifthgreatgrandfather James Oates(1757-1815). Stephen was born in 1764 in
Wayne County North Carolina and he married Ferrebey Carraway, they moved to
Darlington South Carolina sometime after the Revolutionary War. He died in1817
in South Carolina. He also had a brother named Samuel. If anyone is doing
research on this family please contact me [email protected]. I would like the
names, of the children dates of birth, death and marriages of his children
