Subject: SPEECH PATTERS From: Cainestown Date: December 27, 1999 apparently this form of speech is used in Vermont and some regions of Maine, the Puritans and Essex England used the same speech pattern, so some of the Irish might have used it also. It makes sense that folks migrating from the north to the south mixing speech patterns from the different areas that they had lived. the folks over on the Blacksheep list had discussed this before and shared their info with me.
