Dear Mr. Coker:

I read with interest some of the researchers whose work was housed at the
South Caroliniana library. I wondered if you by chance might know a Ruby
Cash Garvin, late of Gaffney, SC. Her research is cited over and over on a
website concerning the Petty family, from which I descend. I could not get
the man who owned it to respond to my letter of inquiry though. If you
could help me I would be so appreciative. I feel that her papers must be
somewhere or they could not be accessed as they were.

Thanks,
Sabra
