BOLT. Mr. Julius D. Bolt (Route 1, Clinton, SC 29325) needs information on
Abraham Bolt I born Aug. 24,
1762, Fauquier Co., Va. Who were his parents and where did they come from to
Virginia. Who were his
brothers and sisters? Any family information? I know who his children were
and that he served in the
Revolutionary War. What was Abraham's wife's maiden name? In a statement
made about his war service,
he stated that he had proof of his age in his father's Bible at his house.
Abraham Bolt I left his estate to his
granddaughter Polly (Mary). Mary is said to have married John Nash (his
second marriage) and moved to
Gwinnett County, Georgia. Could this Bolt Bible still belong to one of Mary
and John's descendants. Also
need information on James Bolt born Jan 4, 1783, Laurens County, SC, married
________ Eastwood. Moved
1818 to Walton County, Georgia. James Bolt was the eldest son of Abraham
Bolt I. Also John Bolt born ca.
1801, married Elizabeth Yeargin, born 1804-5, Laurens District, SC. Also Amy
& Jenney Bolt who married
Hardins. One had a husband or son named Eli. They went to Georgia from SC.
They were daughters of John
Bolt & wife Nancy. Any and Jenney were born about 1812-14 in Laurens
District, SC.
