You can not copyright a 100+ year old roster of Civil War soldiers.  It is not
"your roster", it belongs to everyone.  Like it or not.  Even though you may
have typed the roster information and posted it onto a web page, that does not
mean that it belongs to you.  Nor does it give you copyright to the roster.

You have no power or right to prevent others from copying or using such
materials.  You can post all the "disclaimers" or "rules" that you like.  They
are meaningless and have no standing in the law.  The simple fact is that 100+
year old rosters can't be copyrighted.
