Subject: Some S.C.News from 1789 From: JEAN PRATHER Date: October 18, 1999 According to the case of WRIGHT vs NUTT 1789 Sir James Wright Deceased. when he was Govener of Georgia owned several estates and plantations there. He fled the troubles.but had given Miles BREWTON of South Carolina a promissory note for $1300 dollars. In June 1782 Brewton made a will appointing Charles PINCKNEY and others and died soon afterwards.
