According to the case of WRIGHT vs NUTT 1789 Sir James Wright Deceased.
when he was Govener of Georgia owned several estates and plantations
there. He fled the troubles.but had given Miles BREWTON of South
Carolina a promissory note for $1300 dollars. In June 1782 Brewton made
a will appointing Charles PINCKNEY and others and died soon afterwards.
Charles PINCKNEY claimed the money owed by WRIGHT to BREWTON.Th
Perogative Court of Canterbury had given Joseph NUTT (defendant) letters
of administration of the goods of BREWTON and the latter had stated an
action against WRIGHT who had died before the action was determined
