I had better luck with the Social Security Administration by calling the
office at which my G Grandmother filed her application.  They read the entire
application to me over the phone.  Maybe I just got lucky.  That worked out
great for me because all I wanted to know was her parents names.

 mothers' maiden name, last job held & occupation, martial state, and their
 address when they applied
