There is a brand new book just off the press.  Infact  the author Virginia
C. Beach autographed copies fot the first time this past Thursday.  The is
titled "MEDWAY"  and is about the homestead of the Smith Family and others.
Ijust purchased my copy yesterday and haven't started to read it yet.
Looking at the index I see: 2 Porchers, Anna & Jane, 3 Smiths, Sabrina,
Thomas of Exeter, Landgrave and Thomas II(Governor) and Smythe, Augustine,
Henry, Miss S. H., and Mrs. Cheves Smyhe.

Don't know if this will help at all but it is a beautiful and shows the home
incase you have never seen it.  There is another book out titled: "ST. JAMES
SANTEE-Plantation Parish" by Anne Baker Leland Bridges &Roy Williams III.
This book has a number of Smiths and Symthes listed in the index.  I haven't
had time to read this one yet either but both are Carolina Lowcountry books
and that is where this family began in SC.  $37.50

Here is another that I just purchased and haven't read but it is full of
Porchers and Smiths.  It is: "A WORLD TURNED UPSIDE DOWN-The Palmers of
South Santee, 1818-1881" by Louis P Towles $39.95
