Your 2/24/00 posting regarding Louis Desaussure's 4/5/1858 notice in the
Charleston News & Courier of the next day's sale of slaves encouraged me
to ask whether you might know of the existence and location(s)/source(s)
of records of slave sales at the Charleston, SC slave market and/or by
individual slave brokers in Charleston ca. 1800-1850.  While I am
particularly interested in slaves exported from VA to SC, I'd welcome
information on source(s) of Charleston slave sale records, especially
on-line sources.
