Janet, I'm sorry but the only info I have on the Deschamps line is the one 
entry of Ester's marriage to Archibald McClellan.

I have no proof of this, but it is my understanding that Benjamin DuPre was a 
tailor and that his home in the Charleston area is now a B & B operating 
under the name of Mansion DuPre.  Many of these B & B's that are in 
historical buildings have the history of the homes and the families that 
built and lived in them.  Since you are located in the area you may want to 
give them a call.  If you hit any pay dirt please share a few nuggets.
