do you have more info on your DESCHAMPS family? Was this
family from the McClellanville area? What am I asking.... of
course they were!

I think this couple may have been related to my SHOKES line.
I have the following who signed John SHOKES/SHOAKS Will :

A J McClellan

I don't have my notes on this infront of me but I think I
recall that John SHOKES and A. McCLELLAN (as well as DuPRE
and DESCHAMPS) were  "shoemakers" , and that A. McCLELLAN
lived near John SHOKES (re: 1790 Census).

I will have to check my notes at a more suitable time. <>
I can hardly keep my eyes open!
