Dear SCRooters:
A few months ago I was searching for the same information re a passenger=
list for the brigantine FREEMASON. I
was able to find the information from a library search suggested to me by=
James Kirby who may be on this list. You
will find a list of passengers in a ref book "A Compilation of the Origin=
al Lists of Protestant Immigrations to
South Carolina 1763 to 1773", by Jane Revill. She has written numerous bo=
oks on related subjects and provides a
trove of information. I know that there was a list of the passengers for =
the FREEMASON because my paternal 5Gm was
a passenger as well as all of the members of her family. I'm sorry but I =
only researched the list for specific
families and don't have a copy. The subject left Newry on Oct 27, 1772 wi=
th 55 aboard and reached Charleston, SC on
Dec 22, 1772.
Rootsweb by this time may have an online database for this particular shi=
p but I haven't researched that.
I hope that the above helps.
Best regards,
Jim Freeman
