I do not have anything on your Mendora Shaddix. However, my gg
grandmother was Emily Shadix, married to Stephen A. Clayton in Georgia.
They had two children: Emmeline Jane Clayton and Tommy Clayton.
Emmeline Jane was my great grandmother; she married William Raford
Jarrett in Barnesville, GA, then Pike Co., GA. They arrived in Cass Co.,
TX in 1881 when my grandfather was 11-12 years old. Would be interested
in any information you may gather on the Shadix surname.
