Subject: Seventh Day Adventist Index From: Des Hanson Date: July 07, 1999 I first discovered SCRoots when I accessed the web pages at http://www.scroots.org/ On my first scrolling of the web page I discovered the Seventh Day Adventist Index when I clicked on obituaries under "Gravestones & Obituaries". Am I correct in assuming that this Index relates to South Carolina? How can one access the obituary if you discover one which is related to your research? In my initial message as a subscriber to SCROOTS I detailed the entry I found for one of my wife's relatives:- Seventh Day Adventist Index YEAR: 1938 Apr 07 APPEARS IN: Columbia Union Visitor 1938 Apr 07 OBIT NAME: COUCILL Samuel BIRTH DATE: 1865 00 00 DEATH DATE: 1937 12 11 NO PLACE was named. Nor have I been able to find anything about the publication named on the Internet. Re-visiting the web page and locating the entry once more, I found a window "Export". Clicking on this I was invited to insert my Email address and click submit. Does this mean that a reply will follow with a copy of the obituary? I would be grateful if anyone can answer my queries and direct me to how I may get to the obituary and Samuel COUCILL's information.
