Nancy:

This may be of little or no use to you, but I had ancestors (much further
back than the turn of the century) in the Camden Mills (Kershaw County, not
far from Richland where Columbia is) area of SC named MURRAY and RUDULPH. I
see no relations in your list, but maybe you will:

JACOB RUDULPH b. 1726 Newcastle County, De d. 1800 Camden Mills, Kershaw Co,
SC he and his wife, FRANCES (JACOB) BROOME moved to SC from DE after he was
able to purchase the land easily because of his service at the Battle of
Camden in the Revolutionary War.
One of their sons,
ZEBULON RUDULPH b. 1770 Belle Hill, Cecil Co. Maryland (on the Delaware line)
m. ABIGAIL MURRAY b. 1773, Annapolis MD. dau of John MURRAY
and Elizabeth Syng. Abigail's brother, JAMES SYNG MURRAY also moved to Camden
Mills, Kershaw County for the same reason. There may be no connection, but you
never know. Eventually both the RUDULPHS (olph sometimes) and the MURRAYS
moved to Lowndes County, AL and Mobile, Al. They were in Alabama by the time
your people were born, but maybe some of their descendants are not recorded in
my database.

Let me know if there is any connection,

Caroline Burnett Cook
