I've bit my finger and stayed out of it but I'm all for Steve, action was
needed,the person
who insulted Steve also belongs to the most out of control lists I've
seen, which would be a very good list
with a little similar disipline but I had to unsubscribe it was so
unruly.
I'm on jury duty and have spent all day cacthing up on transriptions or
abstracts while I waited to be called.
I'm not ready to post anything that will be archived and most only
pertains to my DENNIS surname but
what I have typed up is availble in a unfinished form at
http://www.concentric.net/~Dddennis/richard.htm
The following is not really genealogically signicant but I found it
interesting and amusing that it would be a
matter to handle as seriuosly as a deed.
>From Sumter County "Deed Book NN p.56"
Elisha McCoy to William J. Muldrow Sale of Livestock Mark
State of SC,Sumter District
Received of William J. Muldrow ten dollars for my mark (the same being
a smooth crop in one ear and
two spilts in the other)to hold all hogs from date in said mark, and all
other stock after the first day of January
1851.This 7th day of January 1850.___
Test. Jas M. Montgomery Elisha McCoy
It goes on just like any other major conveyance, with someone swearing
to have witnessed the document to the clerk.--
