1. There is no way to edit the messages in the archives at this time. Probably
never will be. If you want readers to "find you" from your archived messages,
do the following.

 a. Create a short signature (aka tagline) with your contact information. Most
email programs have a way for you to have a pre written TEXT signature
automatically added to your messages. Setup your email program to use the
automatic TEXT signature feature. I emphasize TEXT because newer email programs
also allow HTML signatures, cards, encryption, etc. Don't send HTML signatures,
cards, attachments, etc., to the forum. If you don't understand this, read your
email manual or ask your technical support folks. If you still don't get it,
then forget it and just write it every time you send a message.

 b. Find the messages in the archives that you want people to associate you
with.

 c. Make an EXACT copy of the subject line in each of those messages. Spelling
AND case matter.

 d. Write a new message to the forum. Make the subject line in the new message
EXACTLY the same as the associated message from the archives with ONE change.
Add "Re: " at the beginning of the subject line.

 e. In the body of the message write whatever new comments and information you
want the readers to see.

 f. Send the message to the forum.

If you do this properly, then the new message should show up in the archives as
a follow-up reply linked to the original message. When people read the original
message, they should see your associated reply also. Look at the archives and
you will understand what this means.

For Example,

Message in the archive has a subject line that reads:

DIS BE de subject, man !

To have your new message linked to the archived message your new message must
have the following subject line.

Re: DIS BE de subject, man !

Any variation in spacing, characters, capitalizations, punctuation, etc., will
break the link. If you leave out the comma, or remove the exclamation point, or
remove the space before the exclamation, or make any other minor change, then
the messages won't be linked. If you don't insert the "Re: " then they won't be
linked.

2. Or, you can just submit a new version of your previous message which shows
your info. If someone searches the archives then both messages should be found
if they contain the same words being searched for.

3. I'm not sure right now if the archives will be time limited. I do not think
so, but then nothing made by man is forever, is it?

Hope that helps,
