Steven can you explain again I setup an ICQ account for SCRoots last year and configured it to auto-accept chat requests. What that means is that anyone with ICQ installed on their machines can initiate or join a "text chat" with other SCRooters using ICQ. But, so far it hasn't drawn much action. I suspect that is because only a small percentage of SCRooters have installed ICQ. And because even fewer have any clue how to connect with or use the SCRoots ICQ chat service. I haven't been particularly interested in promoting this ICQ chat service yet for a variety of reasons. I consider it a "test" for now and don't suggest that you can rely on it always being online. Possibly later this year I'll have some things setup so the availability of the service will be more reliable. I have a few other technical issues to resolve and upgrade first. But, for now all that anyone needs to do to try out our SCRoots ICQ chat service is the following. 1. Install ICQ on your machine. To do that go to http://www.icq.com/icqme.html 2. Add SCRoots to your ICQ contact list. To do that go to http://wwp.mirabilis.com/11815378 3. Click on SCRoots in your contact list and select CHAT. This will connect you to the SCRoots chat service. IF anyone else is connected while you are connected, then you can chat with them. IF nobody else connects, then you will have to chat with yourself. :-) Best way to use the service is to suggest a certain time period for a group to join in a chat. Otherwise it is random luck on timing. I recommend trying to connect between 8pm and 10pm Eastern Standard Time. For now it is less reliable during working hours (7am-5pm EST).
