Jean,
Appreciate all you are putting here for everyone. Speaking of the inscriptions on
the markers of old graves, have you tried brushing crushed pink sidewalk chalk over the writings? The Timmerman list (Kuzins),
which I am a member, had a genealogy meeting in Edgefield a couple weekends ago. This group includes surnames of Timmerman, Clegg,
McManus, Harling, Dorn, Horn, Stroud, Ouzts, Flick, Glausier, etc. who are in some way related either by blood or marriage. We had
members from Nevada, TX, NC, SC, VA and maybe Ga. attending. One lady had a jar of this chalk and it worked wonders at the
cemeteries! Showed up on pictures, also! This lady said 'rubbing' can cause enough friction to flake off pieces of the stone and
we saw where that is possible.
