Subject: Scots/Irish BOYD From: Jim Allen Date: November 21, 1999 Greetings Fellow Searchers. I'm seeking information on Scots/Irish arriving in the port of Charleston, SC, between 1750 and 1780. Is there a passenger list, ship list, other info sources on line I can search? Information to hand indicates that John BOYD and his wife Jane BARNARDOE (or Bernardoe or Barnado and other spellings) arrived prior to the American Revolution and settled on Brushy Creek in Union District, SC. I have some information, but of course I seek further data. Who was John's parents and siblings? What connection does this family have with the TAGGERT (or TYGGART), the KEASLER (or KESLER), and the EPTING families? Is there a connection between John and Jane and Mark Moore BOYD a Methodist minister in Newberry Co, SC? Some of John and Jane's children moved westward to Mississippi, I am a descendant of this part of this BOYD family. I would like to correspond with other BOYD researchers. Sincerely, JimAllen † † † Mailto:[email protected] "Blowing out the other person's candle won't make yours shine any brighter."
