I am only guessing that Mary ELLIS was the mother of Joseph ELLIS below
and that Joseph was married to Jane (blank). This would mean that Jane
had her first child at the age of 13. This is only speculation.

Josephine; b.c. 1845 SC
Julia; b.c. 1848 SC

Josephine and Julia show up in the 1860 SC Census in the Charleston
Orphanage.

Joseph Samuel ELLIS b. 1843 married Louise SLYER b. 1854 Chas, SC.
