Good Morning List Members,

Does anyone have knowledge of the location of Nine Mile Creek in 1788? From an article from the Georgia State Register and Gazette there is mention of John Medlock having been killed in the Cherokee Indian Territory. The article says 31 armed men left Houlflons on Nine Mile Creek to travel to the Indian Orchard. These 31 men were under the command of Capt. Fain. Killed-- Caleb Jones, John Medlock, Isaac Anderson, Joseph Alexander, Van Piercefield, William Lang, Jonathan Dean, J. Brannon, William English, Robert Hufton, George Matthews, Charles Payne, Luther Johnson, Herman Gregg. Issue of 11-1-1788, article headed Abbeville, SC 8 Aug, 1788.

Thanks for your help, Terry
