Thank you for directing us to the SC waterfalls website and I want you to know
what a thrill it was to look at the gorgeous photographs.

As a South Carolinian now living in Georgia (and wishing I were back in the
Palmetto State), these photos really brought back wonderful memories of my
home state.

I particularly enjoyed the one of Lower Whitewater Falls. As a young girl I
spent several summers at Camp Jocassee (before the "new" lake was formed) and
our end-of-the-summer torture (did the counselors mean for it to be a treat?)
was to hike to the lower falls. The trek was not an easy one but the reward of
rounding the bend and seeing the falls for the first time is never to be
forgotten.  Thank you for providing access to a visual to reenforce that
memory.
