Hi Everyone,
I'm very excited about this new list and am hoping someone can
help me find some answers.
I am searching for several names. For some reason, these people
seem to have never existed except on the census reports! Or so it
seems!!! Please take a minute and see if any of these families are
familiar.

John YEOMANS (Youmans?), born @1848 in Hampton County, SC. He
bought a farm about 6 miles from Ridgeland,SC near the Coosawhatchie
River and had a cotton mill on the property. He married Catherine Ann
(Annie) Rushing, daughter of Nathaniel R. Rushing and Catherine Ann
(Kitsey) Long.
Annie Rushing was born @1853. Annie and John Yeomans were
married prior to 1870 and made their home on the farm. To them the
following children were born:
John Benjamin b. 1870 married Ella Williams
       * Nora         b. Nov-10-1878  married Thomas Edward Williams,Jr.

Henry b. 1880 married Ester Sauls
        Joseph b. 1884
        Maggie married Oscar Wilson
Jessie (female) b.1890 married John Clemmons
*my g grandmother
On Nora Yeomans Williams' death certificate, her maiden name is
spelled Yeomans.
I also have information that John Yeomans's middle initial is W. and
that he had an arm amputated at the elbow.
John Yeomans died @1917-18 in Ridgeland,SC and he is buried at
Sardas Church Cemetery. Annie moved to Ware County, Ga. after his death
and lived with her daughter Jessie Y. Clemmons until her death on Jan
27,1927. She is buried at Kettle Creek Cemetery in Ware County,
Georgia.
PLEASE help if you have any information on John Yeomans.

The other family is Nora's husband and his parents. I have very
little information on any of these ancestors and would appreciate ANY
help.
Thomas Edward (Ed) Williams, Jr. was born Nov11,1870 in
Ridgeland,SC. My information shows that he (and his family) lived in
the Ridgeland area all through his childhood years; after he married
Nora Yeomans, they continued living in the Ridgeland area until after
1908. Ed and Nora Williams had 6 children; 5 of which were born in
Ridgeland,SC. The children were as follows:
        Ethel b.1896 married Lonnie Downs
Eula Lee b. Nov10,1898 married Walter Dawson Musgrove
        Wilbur Welborn b. 1900
Jim Ragland b. Feb15, 1906 married Barbara Murray
       * Alma Inez b. Nov24,1908 married Ivey Lanier Evans
Johnnie Rudolph b. Feb24,1912 married Sybil Lee Tyre
*my grandmother
All of the above children are now deceased and very little
information is known of their ancestors. Ed and Nora Williams seperated
some years after their last child was born, however they never
divorced. They moved to Georgia and lived with their children until
their deaths. Ed Williams died Sept210, 1943 in Homerville, Clinch Co.,
Ga. Nora Y. Williams died Jan01,1952 in Homerville, Clinch Co., Ga.

Ed Williams is a son of Thomas Edward (TOM) Williams, Sr, born
@1835 and Catherine ? Williams, born @1835. Tom and Catherine Williams
lived in the "Great Swamp" area not far from Ridgeland,SC. They both
are buried at Sardus Church Cemetery in Ridgeland. Their children were:

Ella b. 1867 married John Benjamin Yeomans (brother of Nora
Yeomans)
        *Ed b.Nov7,1870 married Nora Yeomans
        Dossie b. 1873
        Sally b. 1875
        Ben b. 1877
