Most of the Physicians who served for the Confederacy in the Civil War were
From South Carolina, and since these men saw service across all the theatres
of the war and served all states and regiments, their names and dedication has
been largely forgotten.

I have a list of some 700 men from South Carolina who served as surgeons and
affiliated care givers. It is posted on my Civil War in South Carolina site
at

http://www.researchonline.net/sccw

or you can get the list via email by sending an email to

with the SUBJECT

GET SCSURGEONS

I have some brief biographical sketches on some of these men (maybe 50 of the
700) which I will be posting over the coming weeks.
