Hi All just wanted to share this with the list...I was at the Conroe 
Library here in TX last week...they have a wonderful genealogy room....I 
found some maps put out by the Union County Historical Society...these 
maps are *wonderful* they show all the early land owners in SC ...these 
are land maps...

My William Coats bought land from a Francis Weaver or Wafer who bought 
or got the land in 1772...it shows Francis' plot on Kings Creek...these 
are wonderful for seeing where everyone lived and for tracing family 
groups...

Surrounding this plot were also plots for Cannon, Wilson, King and 
others that also could be found in TN where my Coats' went from SC...

Just wanted to pass that along...not sure if the Historical Society 
still has copies available...but they are sure nice and would be well 
worth the investment....
