Hello some expert on SC records. I am trying to locate records of sales, purchases, surveys of land transactions during the period of the Revolutionary War. I am particularly interested in what was old 96 District, later Abbeville, Edgefield. Seeking a parcel of land on Ninety Six Creek near the Saluda River and the Abbeville county line.
In one book on researching in SC I saw a note that the government suspended land transactions during this period. If so, when would they have been recorded and where? I have looked at later records for these areas and in Charleston which are on microfilm but still am not finding this time period's records.

Hoping someone who is familiar with SC records can assist me with this problem.
Our library has Mr. Holcomb's books but I have not found any reference to these particular records mentiioned in them. Perhaps I have overlooked any notation with my very tired eyes.
