Subject: Re: SC CENSUS FOR 1830 and 1840 From: Bjo3791845 Date: May 31, 2000 Hi: You can find a few census records for 1830 and 1840 for some SC counties(they were districts then) including York, Spartanburg, Union, etc. on the USGENWEB site as follows: http://www.usgenweb.org/ - from there click on states search engine. Choose SC and fill in blank with census. It will take you to 133 entries, which include some for 1830 and 1840. Some are From the census index book pages only (which is nice because they are alphabetized) and others give you the actual info. on no. of males/females, etc. in each household. There may be another site where you can find census info. transcribed, but this one is the only one I know of. Good luck. Bonnie.
