                    To the Honorable the Chancellor of the said State the
petition of Sampson Coker, sheweth, that under and by virtue of the last will
and testament of Jacob Champion (who departed this life on or about the      day
of      in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and      the children
of your petitioner begotten on the body of Priscilla his wife have become
entitled to considerable personal Estate.  That he has two children entitled to
the bequest in the will of the said Jacob Champion to wit Martha Coker who is
seven years of age and Alexander Coker who is six years of age.  He therefore
prays your Honor that he may be appointed Guardian in Chief of his said
children, and he will ever pray and so forth.
