I would like your help in locating any possible wills From a Burgess slaveholder in or around New Zion Twp. in Clarendon or Williamsburg Co., or possibly Sumter Twp., Sumter Co. I don't have a name of a specific Burgess family...I just know that New Zion is where my ancestors and other Black Burgess families were living when the 1870 census was taken.
