Diane, and Cathy,

I'm not sure where Society Hill is located. As far as I know
my my FARMER family came from VA.

I have Edward (or Edmond)(and in some records is listed as
Richard ) FARMER that was b.c.
1819 in VA.

Edward married Jane Olivia BILTON who was born in 1829 in
Sumterville, Sumter Co, SC. Her parents, George and Alice
Olivia Green BILTON were from Sheffield, Yorkshire, ENG.
They lived in NYC, NY from c. 1820 to 1828 before moving to
SC.

Edward and Jane Olivia BILTON had a daughter, Alice RUTLEDGE
Farmer, born 1855 in Charleston, SC. Alice married Thomas
Louis OGIER.

I'm trying to find out where the RUTLEDGE came from.

Another of their children, Louisa had the middle name of
DALLASON. I am hoping these 'middle' names may lead to
information on the FARMER family, as I have little more than
Edward (who may be Edmond and/or Richard) to go on.

The family was Episcopal, and attended St John's Episcopal
Chapel in Charleston.
