Subject: Roll Call: SWAN and BROWN From: Tom Holmdahl Date: May 14, 1999 James SWAN was living on the Little Beaverdam Creek of the Tugaloo River in 1800. He was living in Pendleton Co/Dist in 1790, but I'm not sure where. Wife was Elizabeth ? and children's names included Francis Godfrey, Alexamder, Samuel, James Jr, John, maybe a Hyram, Mary (Polly), Sarah, Elizabeth, and Margaret. Living nearby was John BROWN married to a Nancy ? Three of John BROWN's sons (Jacob, Joseph, John Jr) married daughters of James SWAN. These two families left for KY between 1800 and 1805. Especially looking for where these SWANs and BROWNs came from.
